OVERVIEW

One of a Kind

What do you get when you have a classic boat owner that has the means and one of the most widely respected names in naval architectural engineering?  You get a custom Grand Banks Eastbay 58 Flybridge called Halcyon.

How do I make a great boat even better was the question posed to C. Raymond Hunt Associates.  The answer from Peter Boyce, Principal Designer at C. Raymond Hunt Associates, was simple, “increase the waterline length”.  The result will be improved performance, increased speed, better rough water comfort and increased distances between fuel stops.

Already a “Hunt” hull, Halcyon is one of only eight Grand Banks Eastbay 58’s ever built.  Even more rare is the 1550hp CAT C-30 engines that push our 94,000#+ motor yacht.  Now with the almost 5’ hull extension and a custom Martha Coolidge Design interior, Halcyon is truly a one of a kind.  A Yachtsman’s Yacht.

Performance was improved across the spectrum.  With a lower bow rise and better rough water handling, the new Halcyon’s extended hull resulted in better fuel efficiency, increased top speed of 34.7 knots and over 1 mile to the gallon at trawler speed.

Power, grace, and attitude to match: you're guaranteed to make an impression when making port in this Grand Banks 58 Eastbay FB. From the aft deck, a stunning spiral staircase leads you safely to the flybridge while underway.  The custom Martha Coolidge Design interior brings out a classic nautical look that features an elegant mix of high gloss teak finish with white V-Boards throughout.  “Perfection was the goal” says Martha Coolidge “the smallest details were not overlooked”.  After almost 2 full years, the result is a stunningly bright and inviting feel for this 3-stateroom, galley down layout.  With the Stars and Stripes Blue hull, this yacht is truly recognized as one of the great classic motor yachts.  Add in a long list of standard features, the proven C. Raymond Hunt deep-V hull design, and superb Grand Banks quality throughout, Halcyon is sure to surpass the expectations of today's most discerning yachtsman.
